Want to feel empowered? Join Sana our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) expert for a  fun, empowering & informative self-defence workshop.

 

Sana is passionate about sharing her love for BJJ with other women & encourages others to learn how to successfully defend themselves if such a situation should arise.

Workshop Overview

Self-defence workshops are designed to teach defence from common attacks, implement techniques to handle sexual harassment, hair grabbing, groping & other threatening behaviour.

We welcome all ages & highly promote our workshops as an excellent mother/daughter activity. Under 11s must participate with a parent/guardian.

Our female self-defence workshops will be held throughout the year & will vary on demand.

Yin & Yang Balance Me - 1st April 2018 (Easter Sunday)

Join Amy for this half day retreat where we bring some balance to the body and mind. Many things in busy city life can throw us off balance, emotionally and physically. This half day retreat will work on both balancing the mind through breathing and meditation techniques and bringing unity to the body by combining a dynamic vinyasa flow and slower yin yoga practice. We will also break down the sun salutations, which are used at the start of any practice to unite body and breath.

Suitable for all levels, including those completely new to yoga. Come along and be ready to be balanced!

 

Part one – Yang – Dynamic Vinyasa Flow

 

10-11.15AM – Vinyasa flow class ending with deep relaxation.

 

11.15-11.30AM – Short break with energy balls and warming tea.

 

Part two – Yin – Breathing, meditation and a restorative practice

 

11.30-12 noon – Setting an intention for the afternoon, breathing exercises and short yoga nidra (yogic sleep) meditation.

 

12 – 12.45PM – The meaning of the Sun Salutations and breaking them down.

 

12.45 – 1.30PM – Yin restorative practice and closing.
